Description: I have tried these galaxies with TAL-1 several years ago in suburban skies without success. This is a very interesting pair which needs a dark background sky. NGC 672 is clearly brighter and larger than IC 1727. It has somewhat brighter central area whereas IC 1727 is mainly even brightness. I have to come back on these gems with higher magnification in the future.
