Description: Centaurus A. I have waited several years to see this galaxy with a larger telescope than 4''...and it didn't disappoint! Several magnifications have been used with this sketch. A dark central band is slightly curved and there is a brighter line in it. The northern lobe is much larger than the southern and it has a sharp south-edge which contains brighter spots. Also several stars are involved with the galaxy.

Description: A very bright elliptical haze which has divided into two parts at low powers. 115x shows much more details. There are two stars, about 11 mag, involved with the southern part. The both parts are brighter around the dark central lane and they fade gradually to the hazy edges. The southern part is clearly brighter than northern, which is almost even brightness.
